We're all beginners, always. There is a place for you here.
Kathy’s yoga classes have been the single most transformative teachings I have ever experienced.
Somehow, I always hear just what I need at that moment, on that day. Her breath-centric movement, the carefully chosen readings, information about elements of Chinese medicine, and Kathy’s patient, knowledgeable, good-natured essence all make her classes the best yoga ever!

I’ve never been a gumby, and I don’t think there is any such thing as a perfect pose. It’s never been about that for me. It’s never been about the perfection of anything. It’s always been about the love of something.
I practice yoga because I love it. I teach yoga because I love to share it with you. I never don't want to do it. I have zero burnout after almost three decades! Sometimes it feels like I'm just getting into my stride.
I feel a deep affection for the people who show up. The curious beginners. The longtime practitioners. The ones who come because of a tight hip or an anxious mind but stay because it's so much more. We’re all beginners at some point. You don’t need to be flexible or know what you’re doing. You only have to be willing to come and see for yourself.
to be ever-so-slightly desperate.

i find the seeker in me
YOU CAN FIND ME HERE TOO!
I'm so excited to be teaching a Viniyoga class on Friday mornings in August and September at MoonMountain Highway Mercantile & Studio, an eclectic gift shop with an intimate practice space nestled behind it.
The Rooted Center Studio offers revolving classes and workshops through intentional facilitators that focus on conscious expression and embodiment centered offerings. This is a place where people come home to their bodies while held by the deep roots of community, and I am honored to be joining the lineup.
This class is donation-based, walk-in , no need to book, just show up.
And stay tuned for other opportunities to practice together.
I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED.. I'D LOVE TO TELL YOU!
The lore.. I founded Yoga Samadhi in 2007. It's a space for students to experience a greater sense of peace & groundedness, of coming home again, and to enjoy community.
The name change.. In 2021 Pamela Stone Chambers stepped in as the new owner, and under her kind and capable care the name of the studio has evolved to Columbia Gorge Yoga.
Where did I go?.. Nowhere yay! I'm still teaching my regular classes and I hope you'll come see me there.
It's worth driving over the bridge for!
